“Heat the Seats” Campaign
Like so many, The Players are adjusting and trying to find the new normalcy after COVID. We are happy to say that we have fully paid off the playhouse and plan to make this our primary space. We are doing our best to make this space the true home of SCP. Unfortunately, we have run into a challenge with our 2 heating and cooling units on the roof. One unit has completely failed. The other is hanging on, in a reduced capacity, but we are not sure for how much longer. COVID has affected everyone and while we had to close our doors and cancel several productions, we still had bills to pay with no active income streams. Through it all, WE SURVIVED! We were able to make our last payment on the building and worked on some structural upkeep, but with cold temperatures upon us, we must replace the furnace which has died. Therefore, we are starting our “Heat the Seats” Campaign.
Your ongoing support is key to helping Southgate Community Player’s Corner Playhouse to stay active and comfortable. We have big plans for our upcoming 2023-2024 Season. We hope to see you at the playhouse soon to attend some great productions & events.
