Auditions: Young People’s Theatre (Teens 12-18): The Addams Family

ADDAMS FAMILY CALLBACKS

The production team of The Addams Family Musical would like to thank the incredibly talented group of over FIFTY teens they had the pleasure of auditioning over the last two nights. BRAVO to all! Below is the callback list. Callbacks are on Sunday, May 31st, at 5pm. Please review the sides and/or prepare the vocal cuts for the characters you are called back for. If you sang the callback cut in your initial audition, you will not be asked to sing that cut again. If you are not called back, it does not mean you won’t be cast in the show. Please be sure to check back Sunday night/Monday morning for the cast list. Thank you again to all who shared their talents with SCP!

The Addams Family musical features a macabre, eccentric family navigating change when daughter Wednesday falls in love with a “normal” boy. Key characters include passionate Gomez, poised Morticia, narrator Uncle Fester, torturable Pugsley, feisty Grandma, and silent Lurch, alongside the conventional Beineke family.

Available Roles

Gomez Addams (Baritone/Tenor): The enthusiastic, passionate patriarch devoted to Morticia and his family. He struggles to keep Wednesday’s secret.

Morticia Addams (Mezzo-Soprano/Alto): The cool, sophisticated matriarch with dry wit, who fears losing her daughter’s closeness.

Wednesday Addams (Soprano/Belt): The morbid daughter who has fallen in love with a “normal” boy, causing her to change her outlook.

Uncle Fester (Tenor): The childish, enthusiastic narrator who often breaks the fourth wall. He is “lovable and incorrigible” and serves as a vaudeville-style comedian.

Pugsley Addams (Tenor): Wednesday’s younger brother who loves being tortured and worries about losing his sister’s attention.

Grandma (Character Voice): A feisty, quirky, 102-year-old woman who is wise but often chaotic. She is often depicted as, or believed to be, the mother of either Gomez or Morticia.

Lurch (Bass): The towering butler who speaks in groans and grunts. He has a commanding presence.

Lucas Beineke (Pop Tenor): Wednesday’s fiancé who, while normal, shares an unexpected dark side, allowing him to connect with the Addamses.

Mal Beinecke (Baritone/Tenor): Lucas’s uptight, cynical father who is initially uncomfortable with the Addams family.

Alice Beineke (Soprano/Belt): Lucas’s mother, a suburban housewife who often speaks in rhyme. She unleashes her hidden wild side during dinner.

The Ancestors (Ensemble): Ghosts from various eras summoned from their graves to help tell the story and guide the family, featuring prominently in dance numbers.
